Coaching Institute Overview
The Coaching Institute is a three-part experience:
DO It (24 hours):
Description: Learn the Teamship model by doing Teamship as a student. Work with Coaching Fellows from other schools to solve a real business problem for a real business with support from Teamship’s experienced team.
Learning outcomes: Develop four core mindsets for solving complex problems in diverse teams. Learn and apply 12 Teamship tools to translate the mindsets into action.
SEE It (6 hours):
Description: Observe student teams and coaches in action. Watch pre-recorded “game tape” and analyze team dynamics, student interactions, and coaching moves. Then participate in debriefs with your cohort to share observations.
Learning outcomes: Learn how to deliver an effective coaching move. Practice delivering coaching moves through structured roleplay
Certification Assessment (1 hour):
Description: Complete a 60-minute online coaching assessment with the Teamship team. Coach parts of the Teamship experience with mock students, analyze student teams at work, and demonstrate your mastery of the coaching philosophy.
Learning outcomes: Articulate your learnings from the Coaching Institute. Demonstrate your coaching skills by delivering coaching moves to a mock student team.
Participants who successfully complete all three program phases will earn an IACET CEU certificate (2.8 CEUs)
